comment How to find the irregular polygons in qgis using python
What do you mean by irregular polygons? Do you mean invalid (self-crossing etc) polygons?

As far as I understand the Lookup, the GRASS module r.reclass should do it.

comment NOOBS Where is Config File
No, it's not in the NOOBS folder, it will be on your filesystem after you'll have installed an OS.

comment NOOBS Where is Config File
No, NOOBS contains Raspbian, so all you have to do is inserting the NOODS card and start your Raspberry. Beware, NOOBS will be replaced by the chosen OS. You need an internet connection for updating Raspbian and installing additional packages, not 100% sure, but I think during the OS installation internet connection is not required.

But byte is 8 bit (per channel), so you get 256 different values per channel

Sorry, I can't retrace your issue, both works for me. Did you set the region properly?

It's not about the raster format, it is about the raster value datatype (being UInt16) which is most certainly not supported in Adobe Illustrator. That means you loose anyway color depth when importing the raster into Illustrator.

I assume you run your script in the GRASS environment, right? I tried it and it worked fine (and in the GRASS Python shell as well). There seems to be another non-obvious problem.
