One thing to add - re: You own the information about yourself ... in the UK, the government's department of health owns all the medical records of its people. The United States is distinctly different in this regard.

I acknowledge and like the fact you say that anonymity is a means to achieve privacy. I'd like to find more scenarios in which anonymity is needed to achieve that privacy

Seems like there is some overlap with controlling dissemination, but I like the categorisation for needing privacy. If only I could do the same for anonymity
