comment MVC - How to pass data to service
Those two are specific questions for ASP.NET, but they go in the right direction: stackoverflow.com/questions/235233/… and stackoverflow.com/questions/7777770/… - Personally i like to have Models that represent data in the datasource (Persistence Models) and ViewModels that hide the datacompelxity for the views.

I woudl disagree with putting "all the business logic" into the model. It's just as wrong (or just as right) as putting it into the controller. MVC alone is nothing, for a larger application you should consider additional layers.

comment T4 suppress error message "ErrorGeneratingOutput"
exactly... the advantage is that the error message is not printed within a code-file, and VS will ignore the error in the txt file while compiling the project

comment Opencart Gzip Output Compression Level not working
This doesn't solve the problem. It will just avoid compression at all, see system/library/response.php, function compress.

I'm stuck with similar problem, can't offer you a solution. But I think that you shouldn't use your access token in javascript, that's executed in a browser.
