@dev_feed In terms of database design I don't see the link back to be beneficial, but using the example above the link back could simplify finding a student given an address.

@cdhowie In the question description it is specifically stated No code within my function will run unless I comment out the try/catch code entirely. So if that is indeed correct it has nothing to do with the lack of errors...

If the notion of and unbound method doesn't exist anymore why does it work without error? Or what should be done to disallow it being called without an instance?

@jonrsharpe Thanks and yeah I understand all that, but for some reason I didn't get an error the output was Hello, I am 0... and Hello I am <__main__.MyClass object at....

I didn't edit in time, but I changed <div class="collapse navbar-collapse" ng-class="{'in':!navCollapsed}"> to <div collapse="navCollapsed"> and the transition worked!
