I've been a PMP since 2006. I have had strong success implementing the scrum development model. Great software design and architecture using modern tools & best practices is a personal passion and I'm partial to the .NET MVC4 framework and am quite competent with C#, JQuery, SOA design and SQL Server.
My current role is Global Applications Development Manager at CooperVision where I'm responsible for global development projects including custom development of manufacturing and distribution systems, customizations and enhancements of 3rd party systems, and enterprise integrations. I manage a team of 12 plus multiple vendors.
Prior to CooperVision I held various development and architecture roles at Xerox, culminating as Chief Platform Architect for Xerox's Managed Print Services suite where I was responsible for the technical and application architectures for the global Managed Print Service platform, which ran a $2B business unit serving hundreds of global enterprises, thousands of users, and trillions of transactions. Here I was responsible for 25 teams comprised of 300 developers, testers and BSAs.
Between Xerox and CooperVision I spent 1 year at startup TCGPlayer.com as software architect and development manager, where I successfully led the development effort to launch a SaaS-based e-commerce marketplace that reached over 1,000 new sellers/retailers in the first three months after launch. My team consisted of 3 developers.
I also served as Director of Academic & Administrative Computing at Hobart & William Smith Colleges, and technical lead on various institutional initiatives including implementation of PeopleSoft ERP and Advancement systems modernization. I managed a team of 10 at HWS.
I began my career in the mid-90s as an entrepreneur delivering awesome web and e-commerce solutions to SMB and Fortune 500 companies.
