How to blend two cameras when traveling through a portal in Unity3D Don't forget, you can use the line to slice a full screen quad which you render when creating the stencil buffer. This should make the technique equivalent to the method mentioned by msell |

How to blend two cameras when traveling through a portal in Unity3D I updated the answer a bit to give some basic code. Make sure to try changing the view near clipping plane distance to confirm the problem. Making this as small as possible may also suffice. Remember, get it working, get it working right, then get it working right fast. |

How to make a map Might I suggest taking a look at mapeditor.org. This tool will help you create the map, and if you search around you will most likely find some sample code / tutorials demonstrating how to work with the files it generates. |

Calculating a RPG character's wages based off their attributes? You may want to consider using the square of each attribute. With that calculation a goon with 10 toughness and 1 everything else would be 280 while a goon with level 3 on everything would be 900. It depends on how you game is balanced. |

How are 3D games so efficient? I had a DX teapot demo which always used 25% of my CPU. Turns out it was because I was on a quad core and, to lock the game loop at 60 fps, I had an "Are we there yet" loop which constantly checked the time. I changed it to sleep(timeToNextFrame) and the cpu usage dropped to near 0. |
