comment Facebook permissions limited use
Thank you! and I'll defiantly try!! I got rejected at first too, I had to specifically explain that my platform was unique with uploading videos of it working. If you think you meet the guidelines just try and try again explaining your case.

I did indeed get those permissions. I think its because I had a unique hardware platform. I've recenrtly launched my new Kickstarter which is an updated version of my last where I got those permissions. kickstarter.com/projects/jackt/…

comment NullPointerException while setting toolbar
When I set my tool bar in my activity I expect it to be placed from underneath the status bar rather then from the top of the screen? Which is my problem, I'm implementing it with the code as shown in my question

Thannnk you! I've been doing a lot of renaming and no sleep so I must of just missed it. The toolbar has loaded however its underneath the status bar starting from the top of the screen. The tool bar loaded in my main activity is right under my status bar with no padding which is what I desirably want. There both seem to have identical implementations of it. Is there something I'm missing?

sprintf(buffer, "%d:%02d AM", hour, minute); works like a charm, thank you!

comment Converting int to char with unknown int size
Thank you all, Yeah I understand now, it was what I originally thought but I needed a way to add strings/ints together and place them into a char array. sprintf() does that job perfectly!

comment Converting int to char with unknown int size
Thank you, but when I have a char array I can't use the + operator to add strings of text together? Like char* test[8] = "Test1" + "Test2";

comment Parsing char array
The code works great, can I ask why do you allocate memory using malloc rather then just set char* output = strncpy(output, start, end-start+1);? I'm a java developer and new to these C concepts

I get the following complier error : error: invalid conversion from 'void*' to 'char*' [-fpermissive] which points to the line char* output = malloc(endd-start+2);

I'm quite new to C, how do you increment the pointer?

Yes those return a pointer but I'm trying to get the contents of the string inside the {} marks. I'm trying to get the contents of the characters inside the two pointers. Is there a function we can use to do that?

Thanks!, how would you then extract the string using the pointers these functions return?
