@Wayne, cheers I gave that a go, I'd say it helped overall but it never resolved the issue that I had. I have ended up changing the offending code to update the records (If me.dirty then me.dirty = False). Is applicable to do so and seems to work, so I am going to call it a day on this one!

The company upgraded their broadband and had a new router installed, may have caused the corruption? Maybe that would have effected the setup. Have tested the system on a VM and can replicate the errors.

Checked the partition tab. There was empty space, and I had a little play around but the most I can get is still 801.57 Have added the screen grab to the question.

cheers for the help, tried it but no joy! Can now see the EFI and Recovery partitions (so it works) but the HDD is still coming up as 801.57GB with 1 partition. Have placed the HDD back into the NAS and it is coming up as full capacity. Have used the deletion tools in the NAS when removing the drive but it has no effect on its capacity when hooked up to the Mac.

Have tried erase, adding partitions, removing partitions and repairing the drive. It was added as JBOD to the NAS.
