Vince is a freelance software development engineer with experience as a developer and technology/networking consultant with Juniper Networks, CyanOptics, Calix, Minerva, DirectTV, Divicom/Harmonic, Network Solutions, Pacific Bell and AT&T Bell Labs. Vince started waveOcean Software, the creator of “ShowPlan” for the iPad, an “IDE” for creative professionals (www.showplan.net, now available on the AppStore).
At Juniper, Vince was Senior Staff Software Engineer, contributing to improving the performance and scalability of the QFabric Data Center Switch and writing C algorithms to analyze proprietary BGP and ISIS protocol issues. He developed Python scripts to instrument Cyan’s Z-Series Packet Optical Network products to monitor performance and defects. While consulting at Calix, he was architect and developer of vScript, a proprietary Perl-based engine for provisioning C7 DSLAM network services and empowering engineers to automate network configurations. At Divicom, amongst his various consulting duties, he designed and implemented redundancy switching algorithms as a systems integration engineer of video networks in the US, Europe, South America and Asia. He also dabbled in Java along the way.
His technical interests are iOS and Mobile Application development, OO design, as well as music and creative/collaborative technologies. Along the way, he contributes to open-source projects and environments.
