comment Simple, classless system for normals exploring ruins of ancient high fantasy world
@SevenSidedDie - PCs are adepts still- that is the default for the setting. And in order to be an adept, as I stated in the comment above, you choose a discipline.

Actually, it is out. Not sure if it's for sale on the site, but backers have both hard and digital copies. And disciplines are definitely not optional. From ED4 p.58 - "The first step in creating an Earthdawn character is to choose that character’s Discipline. This is the most important decision you will make about your character, for a Discipline is much more than a character’s profession; it is a way of life."

comment What better not to use Fate Core for?
@thedarkwanderer - It's close enough for the purposes of this argument. There were very minimal changes made between Fate 3.0 and Fate Core. And in fact, my DFRPG game in the end is played with Fate Core and those few changes for veterans, so not really an applicable dismissal.

I've run mysteries several times in my DFRPG game (which, since the main character in the base source is a detective, I'd hope it would support). I've made some stumbles in setting things up sometimes, but for the most part, the tools have already been there in order to create enjoyable mysteries with the mystery still in the game.

comment Do special materials augment skills other than weapon skills?
@Paul - that problem is taken care of also in treasure companion. There are spells that alchemists use to make materials of superior quality (mithril, laen, eog, etc) workable.

@SevenSidedDie - so now with the edit, some (all?) of the answers are invalid. What do we do about that?

This isn't specifically a fate core question, nor about fate core implementations.
