comment WinForms transparent picture box not working
I found the solution is doing this.pictureboxX.parent = this.parentPictureBox Here is a handy python script if you want to do it for all picture boxes in a range 3-25 : ([print("this.pictureBox" + str(x) + ".Parent = this.pictureBox2;") for x in range(3,25)])

comment Buying car from rental business without title
gotcha. That is a concern I hadn't put any thought into. What can I do to get the title? Is it possible to work with the bank holding the title directly? It must be right?

I looked through all the 1 star and 2 star reviews on yelp. Nothing about car scams.

Even if the check is made out to the business, the business has been around since 2011?

comment Remove and later re-add all event handlers associated with a groupbox in C# winforms
I like the state variable solution. That's pretty clever. I don't like the huge solution at your link. What I ended up doing is actually the same as at the bottom of the link: checkbox.checkedchanged -= eventhandler; code; checkbox.checkedchanged += eventhandler

comment What is the purpose of SelectMany(x => x)?
@JeffMercado SelectMany() returns a flattened list, so is the (x => x).ToList() only needed for syntax or to get the datatype to match? I don't quite get it.

comment Is it possible to add a static object to a list in C#?
Oh I always thought static WAS a singleton, just a single object created at runtime. :) Today the model broke haha. Thanks

comment Is it possible to add a static object to a list in C#?
I'm trying to create a collection of these controls that all have the same interface (member functions) so I can add all the controls to a list and do *.setup() for each item in the list. I guess I have to do it with an abstract class?
